Too many experienced flyers are moving on as hobbyists, out of a lack of support and challenge beyond a Level-3 certification. We've been there. You fly some commercial motors, maybe build your own experimental motor, or even set some altitude records, or fly ARLISS payloads. Its lonely at the top. Where do you go from here? How do you get there? Where do you find the expertise and established practices to learn from? We found ourselves asking the same questions.
TRIPOLI & NAR provide tremendous support, resources, and services for the amateur and high power hobbyist to learn and prepare for high power experimental rocketry. We encourage you to contact and support these organizations, to become members of them, to learn to fly high power, and attain your certifications through them. Attend their public launches they sponsor frequently and experience the thrill of high power rocketry. However, we've recognized the need for the next level in civilian space exploration. We created Mavericks to meet this need, based upon our own desires to fly higher and further than ever before.
Mavericks membership provides you quick access to the infrastructure and reliable resources and information that are crucial in crossing the chasm between a hobbyist flying high power, and professional rocketry and space explorers. Flying into space can be an expensive endeavor, going beyond just your rocket and payload, but including regulatory and infrastructure resources, that often price such efforts out of reach. Mavericks steps in to bridge many of those tasks and resource challenges for our membership, lowering the costs and barrier to civilian access to space.
If you hold a Tripoli or NAR active membership, with a Level 2 or Level 3 certification and an active ATFE LEUP, join us, as we move beyond high power and empower the civilian exploration of space with our members.

Depending upon the type of membership you sign up for, you can take advantage of a variety of services, designed to assist in moving you to the next level in your space exploration dreams.
If all you want to do is fly your experimental projects , and take advantage of our waiver and launch infrastructure, an Associate Membership may be all you need.
If you intend to compete for some of the serious prize money purses we are offering in our international competition categories, then a Professional Membership is the way to go.
If you are an educational institution, we have a special Institutional Membership rate, that includes memberships for up to 5 students or faculty, under the benefits of a full professional membership.
We also encourage our corporate partners to sign up for Corporate Membership, and gain access to our membership who will be looking for solutions and services to assist them in flying to the edge of space and beyond.
